October 1961 – establishment of the Volkhovskiy meat packing plant. The company’s primary business was slaughtering, manufacturing of sausage goods and ready-to-cook foods from meat. For all its history the meat packing plant developed from the lease company to the private joint stock company.
From 1997 Parnas is the holder of the control stake. From March to September 2003 the company underwent fundamental renovations.
A part of machinery was replaced with new, overhaul of the other machinery, capital repairs of all utilities, buildings and structures.
The range of products was changed – from September 2003 the company’s primary business is manufacturing of a great variety of meat cans. The slaughtering shop stills operates.
The Volkhovsky meat packing plant is the awardee of numerous exhibitions and fairs.

The manufacturing engineers have developed new recipes of well-known meat and cereal cans. Meat and cereal cans are made of pork and beef with adding grits – pearled barley, rice, buckwheat and wheat.
